Digital Photo Frame Buying Guide

Digital Photo Frame Buying Guide

With so many digital photo frames now on sale, how do you know which one to pick?

Two key features to look out for are the size of the screen and the resolution. The size refers to the diagonal distance from one corner of the screen to the other, and ranges from 7" to 10" or more, while resolution means the number of dots (pixels) which make up the image. The higher the resolution, the more crisp and clear your photographs will appear.

Some frames can only be used with a camera memory card or USB device, but many now also come equipped with their own internal memory. Some of the more advanced models have memories in excess of two gigabytes (2GB) - enough room to store thousands of photographs. Others boast Bluetooth and WiFi compatibility for the wireless transfer of files straight from a computer.

If you are still struggling to choose the perfect frame, then look out for the extra features that will help you make the right choice for you. Many frames come complete with auto-rotate so your images always display the right way up, built-in editing and touch-up software to eliminate common problems like red-eye.
